Queanbeyan Model Aircraft Club was formed in 1995 by a small group of enthusiastic builders and flyers of Radio Controlled Model Aircraft to share their hobby with others of like mind,

The club used a variety of flying sites in the Bungendore-Hoskinstown area before settling into its current facilities adjacent to the "Mills Cross" Radio Telescope.

From humble early beginnings the club has continually improved the facilities to a point where club members enjoy some of the best flying conditions anywhere in southern New South Wales.

The club is a duly incorporated Association and is affiliated with both the ACT Aeromodellers Association (ACTAA) and the Model Aeronautical Association of Australia (MAAA) and all of the club's activities are conducted in accordance with Civil Aviation Safety Authority's Regulations Part 101. parts ABC and D

All club members are encouraged to contribute to the continued development of the site and are free to use the facilities at their leasure.
